For the last three weeks I’ve been doggy sitting for the parentals while they went about the task of meeting and getting to know their grandson, my gorgeous nephew Baby B:)
Sally, the dog, is one of the most remarkable animals I’ve ever seen and over the years she’s literally become a part of the family. She was so beautifully behaved and I absolutely loved having her:) The parentals and Sally returned home today…my house seems so empty and quiet without her:/ So today’s picture is of my darling doggy Sally:)

I realise if anybody had to look at this afterwards they would think that I somehow missed a day in my 365. But since I haven’t actually been to bed yet it’s still 11 July in my mind.

Today’s picture not only depicts my favorite sweet of all time but also signals my parentals’ return from the States. Always good to have them back:) peanut butter M&m’s….the stuff dreams are made of:)

Today’s picture is just perfect as it defines what I have been doing most Tuesday nights since the beginning of the year….tenpin bowling. At the beginning of the year I joined a casual league and while I’m still a pretty dismal player I have fun doing it:)
The picture is obviously not of me, it’s of Leigh who is a far better bowler than I am.

Today’s picture is of my grandmother’s ruby ring. My grandfather gifted it to her on their 40th wedding anniversary. My mother really wanted me to have this ring after she passed away as my grandmother and I shared a very special bond. So when she and her sisters were sorting through my gran’s things she chose, rather than any of her other jewelry, the ruby ring. Which she in turn and amongst many tears gifted to me.
It reminds me of her every day and the symbol of hope and love it represented makes me smile.

Dear HQ Sandton

I would just like to pop you a quick note to say thank you for hosting my party on Saturday:) Throughout the process I was assisted by competent and friendly individuals (specifically Riaan and Bruce) and their advice and help was highly appreciated.

The food, as always was divine and my only complaint involves one of your staff members breaking the stiletto shoe on my cake *sulks*. Other than that I am one happy and satisfied little customer.

I’ve included a few snapshots of the night…I have so many pictures, but sadly I can’t put ALL of them here.  I’ve included only a few with some of my friendsters.  Thanx again!

Ruby
